Obituary for Thomas Smith Bennett

BENNETT-Thomas Smith Bennett, 86, of 1122 Prospect, died last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Hill, 8708 Independence avenue. Mr. Bennett was a farmer before retiring 25 years ago. He was born in Milan, Mo., and had lived here since 1934, coming from Marshfield, Mo. He was a member of the Church of Christ at 2422 Van Brunt boulevard. His wife, Mrs. Pearl Bennett, died in 1939. Surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. Peggy Lowder, 3006 Tracy; Mrs. Roxanna Seaman, 10610 Kentucky, Intercity district, and Mrs. Erma Tuggle Dupin, 3315 Summit; five sons, Howard Dale Bennett, 4604 Lloyd, Kansas City, Kansas; Louis E. Bennett, Oklahoma City; Robert C. Bennett, Grand Junction, Colo.; James Carl Bennett, Phoenix, Ariz., and Thomas Alvin Bennett, Burley, Idaho; three brothers, Edward Bennett, Caldwell, Kas.; Lee Bennett, Milford Kas., and Frank Bennett, Weslaco, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Betty Scott, Center Point, Ore.; 24 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.
