Betty Scott

Graveside service for Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Bennett/Scott, 83, of ?? Manzanita St., Central Point, who died Oct. 10, 1980, Friday, in a Central Point Hospital, will be held on 11 a.m., Oct. 13, 1980, Monday, at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. The Rev. Kenneth Green of the Church of Christ, Medford, Oregon, will officiate.

Mrs. Scott was born Aug. 29, 1897, in Boynton, Sullivan County, Missouri. On Aug. 23, 1916 in the Rosedale Church of Christ, Rosedale, OK, she married Laurel Flynn Scott who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1979. After their marriage the couple lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, and California before moving to Central Point, Oregon, in 1956. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Medford, Oregon. Survivors include three sons, Robert Lee Scott, Arvin, CA; James Waddell Scott, Central Point, OR; Laurel Frank Scott, Medford, OR; and three daughters, Margaret Lucille Scott/Higinbotham, Central Point, OR; Dorothy Helen Scott/Tarr/Bartolo, Central Point, OR; and Jeannette Scott/Wilmoth, Fontana, CA; one brother Levi Lee Bennett; Kansas; and 17 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Eleven brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so from 2-4 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Oregon.
