Clarence Roger Thrasher, 81, of Bloomington, died Sunday at his home.

Born April 23, 1916, in Monroe County, he was the son of Charles and Myrtle (Ferguson) Thrasher. He as a tool and die maker and was retired from Western Electric Corp. in Indianapolis. He was a member of Clear Creek Christian Church.

He was a member of the Sahara Grotto Band, the Forty & Eight Band, Masonic Lodge 112, the IBEW Pioneer Club and the Indiana University Alumni.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Thrasher; two son, Mike Thrasher and Chuck Thrasher, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Mary Lucas of Greenfield and Mildred Boruff of Bloomington; three brothers, David Thrasher and William Thrasher of Indianapolis and Clifford Thrasher of Greenfield; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Winfred (Doc) Thrasher; one sister, Marjorie Babb; and four infant brothers and sisters.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel, with Pastor Dan Cloud officiating. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
