MAPLEWOOD, Minn. - L. Marlene Scott, age 80 of Maplewood, Minnesota, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away with her family at her side on Monday, July 18th, 2016, after a long illness.
Marlene was born on February 14, 1936, to James and Marian (Carey) Vladeff in Lehigh, Iowa. Marlene graduated from Lehigh High School in 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and a grandson. She was a bookkeeper until her retirement in 2006. Proud Grandmother of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marlene enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by her daughters, Tami Scott (Lehigh), Tari Gibson (Atlanta, Georgia), sons Tom (Cindy) Scott (Vadnais Heights, Minnesota), and Troy (Pennie) Scott (Lehigh), and other extended family members.
Marlene donated her body to the University of Minnesota for research and will be cremated thereafter.
