Trenton. Mr. William Chadwell died of pneumonia at his home five miles northeast of Trenton last Saturday in the fifty-ninth year of his age and was buried at Burns cemetery on Monday, Eld. J. W. Connelly performing the funeral ceremony. Mr. Chadwell was a native of Tennessee and came to Texas with his father early in the fifties. I preached the funeral of his first born, a beautiful little daughter who died in 1870. That was my first funeral sermon in this community. Five years ago I preached the funeral of his wife, a noble Christian woman. He was one of the best men I ever knew and his death is deeply lamented by his many friends. He leaves an only child, a daughter nearly grown who is the only one left of the once happy family.
