One of twins born to Sheriff James Weddle & Mrs Sarah Jane (Snider) Kennedy, Jim died of pneumonia at home in Nashville, Brown Co IN. He had been a Deputy Sheriff, working with his father for over three years. He never married.

"James Kennedy, jr. has been appointed deputy, by his father James W. Kennedy. The appointment is sanctioned by your constituents, "Uncle Yim."

The Indianapolis News, 9 Dec 1918, Monday, Pg 3:
"Brown County Officals Dead
NASHVILLE, Ind., December 9. -
Frank P. Taggart, age thirty-seven, deputy auditor of Brown county, died at his home here yesterday of pneumonia, following influenza. He had served two terms as county recorder. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. A widow and six children survive him.
James Kennedy, age twenty-three [sic], deputy sheriff of Brown county and son of James Kennedy, county sheriff, died yesterday at his home here of pneumonia."

Frank P Taggart is James' 2C1xR and James is my Grand Uncle.
