Services for Erma Mae Vander Werf, 82, of Pella, who died Nov. 26, 1992 at Pella Community Hospital, were held November 30 at Second Reformed Church. Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Norman Schouten officiated at the services.
Mrs. Vander Werf was born July 30, 1910 at Pella, the daughter of Dick and Anna Feather Koopmans. She attended Webster School and graduated from Pella High School in 1929.
On Jan. 6, 1937, she married John G. Vander Werf at Pella.
She was employed for a short time at Frundt Seed Company and at Pella Canning Company. She retired in 1974 from the Pella Corporation after 29 years of employment.
She was a member of Second Reformed Church and a member of the Ladies Aid of her church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Tulip City Golden Agers.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968; her parents; two sons, Stanley and Douglas; two brothers, Harry and Paul; and two sisters, Mrs. William (Grace) Aalbers and Mrs. John (Alice) Hoeksema.
She is survived by one son, Glen and his wife Linda of Pella; another daughter-in-law, Wanda Vander Werf of Pella; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Van Dyke of Pella; many nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Paul (Minnie) Koopmans and Mrs. Hubert (Ann) Vander Werff, both of Pella.
Memorials have been designated to the Ladies Aid at Second Reformed Church and the Tulip City Golden Agers.
