The deceased had been in failing health for some time, but never complained. All that medical attention and loving care could do was done, but to no avail.
Mrs. MacLennan was of strong religious conviction and early in life made her profession of faith. She was a devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and a loyal friend.
She leaves to mourn, one daughter, Maybelle, and one son, Malcom Bruce. One infant daughter, Bessie, pre-deceased her. Also four sisters: Mrs. Duncan Munroe, Mrs. Clyde Adams, Mrs. Chesley Howatt and Miss Flora Falconer, all of Providence, Rhode Island, and three brothers, George, Shirley Mills, Maine, Collingwood, Cranbrook, B.C., and John, South Granville.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, May 21st and was largely attended, services were conducted by Rev. L. D. Bartlett. Hymns were: "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "Abide With Me".
The pall bearers were: John Keir, John H. MacLeod, Roy Folland, Gerald Smith, Hugh MacKinnon and Charlie Stevenson. Flower bearers: Milton Weeks, Melville Weeks, Charlie Smith and Lloyd MacLeod.
Interment was in Hartsville Cemetery.
The funeral was under the direction of James E. Andrews.
