Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mary Glenn (Huff) Degge, 82, entered into the presence of the Lord on November 12, 2006.
Mary Huff was born May 31, 1924. She died at her residence in Allen, TX.
A Memorial service was held in Allen, Nov. 13 at Greenville Oaks Church of Christ. Keith Maloney officiated.
The funeral service was held in Lockney at the Main Street Church of Christ, Nov. 15 at 10:00. Van Bradley officiated. She was buried at Lockney after the service.
A graduate of Abilene Christian University, she taught school in Plainview and Lockney, Texas schools and worked as the first Caprock Plan A Diagnostician for the Floyd County, Petersburg and Jayton Schools. She retired after 29 years of teaching to enjoy time with her husband and family.
She and her husband, Douglas moved from their long-time home in Lockney to Allen, in 1996, where they have lived until her death.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Huff, and her mother, Madge Watson Huff. She is survived by her husband Douglas Degge of Allen; her children Olin Degge and wife Anita of Mesquite, TX; Mary Leslie Wilhoit and husband Dennis of San Diego, CA; Sara Snyder and husband David, of Allen; and Kyle Degge and wife Mollie of Allen. Grandchildren are Brad Degge and wife Shannon of Arlington, TX; Eric Wilhoit and wife Rebecca and Sara Wilhoit Shay and husband Chas, all of San Diego; Evan Snyder of Frisco, TX; Erin Snyder, Ian Snyder, and Whitney Degge, all of Allen; Jennie Degge Courtney and husband Caleb of Bedford, TX; and David Degge of Allen. Great grandchildren are Rian Shay of San Diego, and soon-expected Baby Courtney of Bedford, TX.
