Fern was born to James and Beulah Hendon Bailey. A gracuate of Johnstown High School in 1939 and a lifelong resident of the Sunbury, Johnstown and Croton areas. She assisted with the family dairy farm and also worked at the former Townley's IGA in Sunbury. For over 40 years she was the New Bethel correspondent for the Sunbury News. She was a longtime member of the New Bethel Christian Union Church and was very active in church activities from Bible School to ladies aid. She was the church organist for over 50 years.
She was happiest caring for her husband of 65 years, Carey Glaze, whom she married 1 Nov 1941, in the Sunbury First Baptist Church. She is also survived by three children: Raymond (Mary) Glaze of S[encerville, Judy (John) Braddock of Botkins, Anita (Don) Herlensky of Croton; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; including expected twins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandaughter; two brothers and five sisters.
