Death of Samuel N. Campbell

Samuel N. Campbell, for the last ten years a resident of Oak Park, passed away at his home, 212 North Lombard, on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock, after a short illness with pneumonia. He was born in the state of New York February 10, 1854, and came to Chicago from Michigan in 1893, and was at that time a department buyer for the Fair store.

He was home for his Christmas vacation, and his sudden death is a sad blow to the bereaved family, who are especially reminded at this season of his generous and kindly nature.

He leaves a widow, two sons and a daughter: Floyd Campbell of Oak Park, Harry Campbell of Hesperia, Mich.,and Miss Ferne Campbell, also of Oak Park.

The funeral services were conducted from the late residence on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. A. D. Thibodeau and the interment was at Mount Auburn.

The bereaved family wish to express thanks to their friends for their kindness and sympathy and for the many beautiful flowers, also to Mrs. Edith Quayle Wise, who sang two of Mr. Campbell's favorite hymns.
