Amos Duncan Greene, 96, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on January 18, 2020 at Atrium Health in Shelby, NC. He was born in Rutherford County, NC, to the late Byrd and Lucy E. Greene and was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Lillian Hoyle Greene. He was also preceded in death by a son, Amos Wayne Greene, brothers, Clarence, Paul, Dub and Faye Greene, his sisters, Effie Atchley, Fannie Greene, Ellie Flynn, Nadine Tessniar, Elsie Brewer and Susan Tankersly and a son in law, Michael Glenn. Amos served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII. Amos worked in textiles for most of his life. He was an active member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a RA Leader. Amos often took part in Vacation Bible School, helped with the woodcraft classes and cleaned the church. He and Lillian would often visit the home bound as well. Amos enjoyed working in his wood shop after his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Amos will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Michael Horn officiating
VISITATION: Tuesday, January 21 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM prior to the service in the parlor of Harris Funeral Home
