Church was very important to Charlotte. She was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church in Orrington, and enjoyed very much serving and worshipping there.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. James DeVere, Sr.; brothers and sisters; and a very special sister, Avis Jordan. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 70 years, Lester Gray; son Alton Gray and wife Barbara of Holden; daughters Donna Jamieson of Holden, Beverly McGillicuddy and husband Daniel of Gorham, and Carol Reynolds of Holden; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at Woodlands Assisted Living, in Brewer, and to the ICU and Palliative Care staffs at Eastern Maine Medical Center for their loving care generously given to Charlotte.
Interment will be in Central Cemetery, Dedham.
