August A. Ponzel, 23, of rural Edwards, was pronounced dead Tuesday at the scene of a one-car accident on U.S. Route 150 near Gilles Road.
He was born Jan. 25, 1965, in Peoria to August F. and Violet Bennett Ponzel.
He is survived by his parents of Peoria; one son, Justin of Peoria; one sister, Carla Ponzel of Edwards; and his grandmother, Margaret Ponzel of Peoria.
He was employed as a driver's helper for the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. for the past two years.
Services will be at the Davison-Fulton Western Chapel Friday and burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
