Tracy Lee (Strom) Olson, 60, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her home
A service honoring Tracy’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Saint Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Sersland officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
On July 12, 1956 Tracy Lee was born to Palmer and Ermadell (Hintch) Strom in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She attended Fort Dodge schools and graduated from Ft. Dodge Senior High School with the class of 1976. She was united in marriage to John J. Olson on December 23, 1978, and later divorce in January 2001.
Tracy was preceded in death by her father Palmer Strom, her mother Ermadell Strom and her sister Ardis “Sam” Wisthoff-Morris. Those thankful for having shared Tracy’s life include her son Justin and his wife Melissa Metzen-Olson of Otho; daughter: Melissa Olson of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren, Blake Zwiefel, Zacharie Olson, Halle Olson, Klaire Olson and Tristan Olson; her sister Sheila (Michael) Anderson of Vincent; her brother Curtis Strom of Fort Dodge; and many nieces and nephews.
Tracy worked with her mother at Kepler Printing for two years before starting at United States Gypsum Co. in 1978 and worked there for 38 years before retiring. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her special friend Donald Woodman.
