Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Sarah E. Lloyd, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Crawford Williams. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Sarah was born on January 17, 1930 in Elliott, MS and passed away on July 14, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. She was a devout Baptist who loved the Lord. Mrs. Lloyd was a floral designer and took great pride in the pieces she made. Sarah collected Beanie Babies and gave them to her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for the love and care she gave to others.
Mrs. Lloyd was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nathan Lloyd, Jr.; daughter, Beverly Mitchell; granddaughter, Heather Lloyd; three brothers, Harrison, Felix and Norris Ellett and two sisters, Thelma McCullough and Thelda Atkins. Left to cherish beautiful memories of Sarah are her children, Dennis Lloyd and Sandra Rinkle; grandchildren, Stephen, Paul, Kenneth, Kendall, Melinda and Lance and 9 great grandchildren. Honoring Mrs. Lloyd as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
