"Mrs. B. Martel, Née Chacheré, died in this town on the 17th inst., aged 89 years and three months. In sight of her residence live a surviving brother and two sisters, the youngest of whom is over seventy, and the eldest eighty-four or five. Mrs. Martel was married about Seventy-one years ago and survived her husband a great many years. Judge B. A. Martel, and Mr. B. Martel--until recently a resident of St. Marty--and Mr. Eugene Martel, all of this parish, are her sons, and she left two daughters; making five children living, all of whom belong to the class called "old people." The number of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, we have not learned."
