Funeral services for Nellie Vander Werff were held Friday, June 23, at the Third Reformed Church of Pella with Rev. Kenneth Dykstra officiating. Interment, under the direction of the Garden Chapel Funeral Home, was in Pella's Oakwood Cemetery.
Nellie, wife of the late Arie Vander Werff passed away at her home June 20th, 1972 at the age of seventy-nine years.
Nellie, the daughter of Arie and Cornelia (De Joode) Breen was born May 16th, 1893 at Otley, Iowa.
She was united in marriage with Arie Vander Werff on January 9th, 1918 at Otley.
To this union four children were born: John A. Vander Werff of Reasnor, Iowa; Kathryn, Mrs. Gysbert Van Engelenburg, Jr. of Runnells, Iowa; Arthur Vander Werff of Reasnor, Iowa and Bert A. Vander Werff of Pella.
There are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren surviving.
