Franklin -- Mrs. Minnie L. Groger, 416 8th Street, died Thursday evening at the home of her son, Albert Groger, where she had been making her home the past month. She had been in ailing health for several weeks, but death was sudden and unexpected. She was born in Cherrytree June 11, 1891, daughter of Russell and Barbara Tarr Cauvel.

She attended Venango County Schools and lived throughout the county. She married Walter A. Groger who preceded her in death in 1943, They had moved to Reno in 1912, and she resided there until 1954. For the past ten years she had been employed at Polk State School, and retired effective the first of this October. She attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Oil City.

In addition to her son, Albert, other surviving children are Edward, Erie, Mrs. Paul (Beatrice) Reisinger, Franklin, Russell, Oil City, and Wayne, Erie; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Howell, Franklin; and a brother, Lawrence Cauvel, Limestone, NY.
