McMahan, Melissa Renee of Mt Washington KY, passed away on July 15, 2016. Melissa was born on February 25, 1971. She graduated from Eastern High School and obtained a B.S Degree in Environmental Health Science from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a Documentation Specialist at US WorldMeds, LLC in Louisville KY.
Melissa was a kind-hearted person with the ability to light up a room with her presence. Melissa loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.
Melissa married Art McMahan, Jr. on November 11, 1995. Melissa and Art had a drive for achievement and built an immensely successful business in AM Contracting. Melissa and Art were together when they passed while participating in one of their passions, charity boating events.
Melissa was preceded in death by a grandmother, Sue Carter and grandfather, Robert Hargrove. Melissa is survived by two children and grandchildren, her parents ,sisters and brother grandparents and numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews as well as many other relatives.
Funeral visitation will be held from 2-8pm on Thursday July 21, 2016 at Pearson’s Funeral Home, 149 Breckinridge Lane, Louisville KY. Visitation will continue at 11am-1pm on Friday July 22, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Middletown, 11721 Main Street, Middletown KY. Funeral Ceremony will be 1pm at the Church with burial at Mt. Washington Memorial Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made to First Baptist Church of Middletown’s “The Way Forward” fund.
