LITTLE, Dennis Richard Age 73, of West Chester, Ohio, formerly of Okeana, Ohio, passed away on Thursday morning, July 14, 2016 at West Chester Hospital. He was born on October 1, 1942, in Los Angeles, California the son of George and Hazelle (Stransky) Little. He attended Brookings, South Dakota City Schools and graduated from South Dakota State University. On June 12, 1965, in Madison, South Dakota, he married Mary Jo Mosher. Dennis was employed as a mechanical engineer at GE Aviation from 1965 until he retired in 2000. At that time he was the Vice President of Military Engineering Operations. He enjoyed model trains and was a member of the Scale Rails, the National Model Railroading Association, and was a Master Model Railroader. He was an Eagle Scout; a past Commodore of the Gulf Harbour Yacht Club; a South Dakota State University Distinguished Engineer; and a member of the GE Aviation Propulsion Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Little; two daughters, Melissa (James) Williams and Nikki (Patrick) Howard; three grandsons, Austin, Owen, and Colin; one sister, Linda (Chuck) Matson; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his infant niece, Leigh Matson. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 4 -8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 3350 Chapel Road, Shandon, Ohio on Tuesday at 10am with burial following in St. Aloysius Cemetery. If desired memorials may be made in Dennis' memory to the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, 2400 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45202-1478 or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 304, Chicago, Illinois 60611-3201.
