Nobility. She was the daughter of Albert Frederick, Duke of Prussia, and Marie Eleonore of Cleves. She was courted by Wilhelm, son of Gotthard Kettler of Courland and Anna of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Their marriage contract was signed in Königsberg Castle on 5 January 1609. She died four weeks after the birth of her only son, Jacob, who later succeeded his paternal uncle Friedrich Kettler as Duke of Courland. The sarcophagus is painted and gilded with the coats of arms of Brunswick, Brandenburg, Prussia and Jülich-Cleves. Originally there was a crucifix on top of it and a small glass window through which the deceased Princess was seen in a dark veil and a silk crown. She was dressed in a white satin coat decorated with fine lace. The preserved lace fragments are some of the oldest samples of star-patterned lacework in Latvia. The restoration of the sarcophagus was completed, and the burial was consecrated in 2015.
