Mr. ROY FRANKIN "Tubby" ADKINS, SR., 69, of 6316 Old Middletown Road, Middletown, died Sunday, Nov. 18, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Rice Adkins. Born March 5, 1932 in Middletown, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Mary E. Routzahn Adkins.
He was a retired employee from Frederick Iron and Steel Co., and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Roy F. Adkins, Jr., Carrollton, Tx.; daughter, Janice Mentzer, Middletown; two grandsons; three brothers, Glenn Adkins, Indianapolis, In.; Elmer Adkins, Middletown; and Lee Adkins, Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela L. Adkins; and one sister, Elsie Miller.
Services were held at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown; interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
