Darlene was born January 30, 1930 in Kathryn, ND. She lived much of her childhood and early adult years in Lisbon, ND. She later lived in Ulen, MN, Cando, ND and Grand Forks, ND. For the past several years, she has maintained a winter residence in Mesa, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Johnson; son, Greg Johnson; and second husband, Leonard Zimprich. She is survived by three sons: Joe (Debbie) Johnson of Grand Forks, Todd (Sheila) Zimprich of Sioux Falls, SD and Scott (Ann) Zimprich of Edina, MN, as well as two daughters: Becky (Terry) Harland of Cando, ND and Lana (Glen) Parker of Rocky Ford, CO. She also left behind 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
The visitation service will be held at the Amundson Funeral Home at 5:30 -- 7:00 PM with a 6:45 PM Prayer Service on Monday, December 29, 2003. Funeral Services will be held at Sharon Lutheran Church at 11:30 AM on Tuesday December 28, 2003. Interment will be at Jesse, North Dakota
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
