Dorothy was born on May 27, 1928 in Cameron, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Halcie Phillips and Ray Strawn.
She was a proud homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning, baking, cooking, and playing Domino's.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Robert (Debbie) Stern, Karl J. Stern, and George Brent Stern; a step-daughter Connie Biebel; three grandchildren, Tracey Tenney, Robin Maddox, and Star Spangler; three step-grandchildren, Susie, Johnny, and Craig Ferguson; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert G. Stern, who passed away on February 3, 1987; her sisters, Evelyn Hinkle and Grace Scott; and her brothers, Meryl Strawn, Charles Strawn, Floyd Phillips, Ralph Strawn, Sam Strawn, and Ray Weaver.
Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Bristolville Township.
