Delaine T. Crawford of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 95. He was born June 23, 1921 in Troy, Texas to Clarence A. and Ladye (Leeton) Crawford. He attended Texas A&M University and served in World War II with the Army Air Corp. Delaine was married to Catherine Barnett for 68 years. He was a committed Christian, husband and father and he was generous with his time, talents and money. Delaine was a faithful member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men's Group, Kiwanis Club, and a devoted volunteer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine; children, Linda Hoover, Joan Chandler and husband, Jim, and David Crawford and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Corey McGee Decker, Emily Hoover, Kristy O'Bannon, Jana Bellah, Jenifer Gregory, Brian Chandler, Travis Crawford and Matthew Crawford; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Rena Jeffers; and a son-in-law, Mike McGee.

Delaine was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carolyn McGee; and siblings, Cristell Allen and Wayne Crawford.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. John's United Methodist Church.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Catherine and Delaine Crawford Scholarship, College of Human Sciences, Texas Tech University.
