Reba Jo Tipton Scott was with us for 93 years. 'She has fought a good fight. She has finished her course. She has kept the faith.'

Since her birth on February 26, 1913, the course of her life she was a daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, designer, seamstress, decorator, writer, baker, short order cook, gardener, horticulturist, entomologist, explorer, fisherman, naturalist, Sunday School teacher, Church pianist, scholar, philosopher, believer.

Reba Jo Capps Tipton Scott lived her life with enthusiasm. She was a daily seeker of truth; she gladly shared as she learned about life and religion. In her youth, her home was an open house for children and friends. Her table was filled with great food, and her mind was filled with topics for lively discussions. A quote that was in her living room for many years was, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.' She demonstrated that love consistently.

Preceding her death are her parents, ten brothers and sisters, her first husband, R.B. Tipton (father of her children), her second husband W.L. Scott, her son Larry V. Tipton, and three granddaughters Anna Morris, Christina Tekoah Tipton and Karmen Kibby.

She leaves two daughters, Donna Strickland and Nelda Kibby. Her grandchildren are Karmel Morris, Brad Morris, Dara Kneib, Marek Tipton, DaMarla Guffey, and Julie Becerra. Her great grandchildren are Ethan and Haley Morris, Bremmer, Morgan, Jared, and Warren Kneib.

A memorial service will be held in Wewoka, OK. Arrangements are pending. The family suggests that memorials go to Regional Care Hospice, 1710 E. 32nd St., Suite E-1, Joplin, MO 64804.
