The sun., October 17, 1895,

The deceased was a resident of Fort Covington from childkood, Having been born June 24, 1829, he resided at the old homestead until about 1868, when he purchased the farm on which, he died, one mile east of Bombay On March 3d, 1859 he married Margaret Cavanangh, of Bombay. To this union were born three sons and five daughters, one of the latter dying in infancy. Those who still remain to mourn his loss besides the widow are George M., of Detroit, Mich.; Emma, of Springfield, Mass., Martin F. and Addie, who are residing at home. The deceased was always an unswerving Democrat. He was many times called to positions of trust by his townsmen, and the esteem in which he was held by neighbors and acquaintances was fully shown by the lurge attendance at his funeral. He always endeavored to be
just and honest with his fellow men, and highly valued the acquaintance of every upright man, no matter what his convictions. His Funeral took place at the Roman Catholic church Fort Covington.
