Mary "Della" Camp was born on April 8, 1868 to Lt. James Harrison Camp and Mary E. Beaty Camp. She was born in Walton County Georgia but was raised in Floyd County Georgia on the family farm in the Livingston area west of Rome. She married William F. Freeman son of Major Francis Marion Freeman of Rome. William and Della moved to Lexington, Kentucky where they had their only child, Sidney. Della died in Lexington of pneumonia on March 12, 1919.
