Mrs. Collins, who was the widow of Richard H. Collins, a former editor of the Chestertown Transcript, died at her home on Front Street. She first came to Chestertown when she was 7 years old when her father was called to be Rector of Emmanuel P.E. Church. Funeral services were conducted at the church by Dr. Charles L. Atwater.

Survivors included four sons: Judge Stephen R. Collins, Chief Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit of Maryland; John H. Collins, of Beckley, WV, District Engineer of the Kentucky & West Virginia Power Company, Richard H. Collins, Jr., Chief Clerk of the Kent County Ration Board & an Associate Editor of the Chestertown Transcript, and William S. Collins, also Associate Editor and Manager of the Chestertown Transcript. Also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Annie Harding Roberts Stam, of Washington, DC; Mrs. Mary Jones (Joseph S.) Archbell and Miss Susan S. Roberts, both of Chestertown.
