Patrolman TIMOTHY DONOVAN, of the southwestern district, died last night at his home, 218 North Mount Street, of typhoid fever, after an illness of three weeks.

He was taken ill August 10, the day on which he began his duties as superintendent of the construction of the new southern police station. He was appointed the position by the board of police.

Mr. Donovan was born at Dubuque, Iowa on April 16, 1850. He came to Baltimore 18 years ago and ten years later became a member of the police force.

Before coming to Baltimore, he married Miss Julia A. Cassidy, daughter of John Cassidy of Elkrige, Howard County. She died eight years ago.

Four daughters, Mamie, Elizabeth, Fannie and Cecilia Donovan survive him.

The funeral of Patrolman, TIMOTHY DONOVAN, took place from St. Martin's Catholic Church. A High Mass of Requiem was celebrated by Rev. Eugene T. Gwynn.

Honorary pall bearers were selected from St. Martin's Council, Catholic Benevolent Legion of which Mr. Donovan was a member.

Mr. Donovan was buried beside his wife in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Elkridge Landing in Howard County.
