"Obituary Of Marvin S. Vos
"Marvin S. Vos of Mitchellville was born on a farm near old Fairmount, Iowa, on October 5, 1907. He passed away at Mercy hospital in Des Moines August 5, 1972, at the age of 64 years and 10 months.
"He was one of six children born to Bastain A. Vos and Elizabeth Nearmyer Vos. The only survivor of this family, a brother, Lester J. Vos, lives on a farm near Altoona. On November 10, 1925, Marvin took as his wife, Rena Winegar of Runnells, who survives him.
"To this marriage six children were born. The children in order of age are Mrs. Geralene Tuller of Auburn, Washington; Ralph of Runnells; Dean of Mitchellville; Mrs. Betty Butler of Mitchellville; James of West Des Moines and Mrs. Judy Simerson of Mitchellville. There are 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
"He was a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed by all."
