Beatrice Dixie, age 100 of Campbellsburg, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at her residence in Campbellsburg. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie Durrett and member of the Second Baptist Church of Campbellsburg for 82 years.

She is survived by her three children: Mrs. Lawrence (Theresa) Berry, Louisville; Mrs. William (Shirley) Dixie, Campbellsburg; Faye Herndon, Shelbyville; seven grandchildren , thirteen great grandchildren and three God daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dixie, Sr., two daughters: Emma L. Dixie and Juanita D.Sartin; two sons: Clarence L. Dixie and Robert Dixie, Jr., and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg. Reverend Earl Higgins of the Second Baptist Church in Campbellsburg officiated. Interment was in Eminence Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Patrick Ellis Jordan, William Detrick Dixie, Juan Donrick Robinson, Wendell Dwight Dixie and Isiah Durrett.

Pallbearers were Dwayne Durrett, Brian Keith Foree, Carroll Demint Jones, Darrian Sartin, Eric Webb and Nathan Durrett.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Markey Cancer Foundation or the American Heart Association.

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. โ€“ Beatrice Dixie, 100, of Campbellsburg, died Wednesday Nov. 8, 2006 at her residence in Campbellsburg.

Born April 14, 1906 in Campbellsburg she was the daughter of Harvey and Annie Durrett.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Campbellsburg for 82 years. Beatrice lived on her own until her passing. She was never hospitalized.

Survivors include her three children, Theresa (Lawrence) Berry of Louisville, William (Shirley) Dixie of Campbellsburg, Faye Herndon of Shelbyville, one son-in-law Dwight Sartin of Louisville, one sister-in-law Mary Francis Durrett of Campbellsburg, and seven grandchildren, Emma Foree, Lisa Richardson, Patrick Jordan, William Detrick Dixie, Juan Donrick Robinson, Wendell Dixie, Wendy Dixie, Darrian Sartin; 13 great-grandchildren, three special God daughters, Laverne, Betty Lois and Tommy Ellen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dixie, Sr., her parents, two daughters Emma L. Dixie, and Juanita D. Sartin, and two sons Clarence L. Dixie and Robert Dixie, Jr., and her great granddaughter Kara Jordan.

Services were held Saturday, Nov. 11th, 2006 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg, with Reverend Earl Higgins of the Second Baptist Church in Campbellsburg officiating. Burial was at the Eminence Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dwayne Durrett, Brian Keith Foree, Carroll Demint Jones, Darrian Sartin, Eric Webb, and Nathan Durrett.
