Russell George Coleman Jr. was born on September 25, 1951 in Freeport, TX to Russell George Coleman Sr. and Jo Goodson Coleman. His journey through this life ended on July 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family in his home in Clute, TX.
Russell is preceded in death by his father, Russell George Coleman Sr., and infant sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years. He is also survived by his children. Proud Pawpaw of 9. Russell is also survived by his mother and a sister.
On any given Sunday you could always guarantee if there was a NASCAR race on TV that’s where Daddy was from the start of the race to the final checkered flag. Unless of course, he was at his post as head cook for his husband and wife team of BCB Cookers. Daddy loved his BBQ and spending time with his family and BBQ friends at many a cook off. We will greatly miss his unique sense of humor and little jokes that made him who he was. You could always count on him no matter the situation to be there for you at a moment’s notice with jokes ready to roll. He loved to make those around him smile.
