OBITUARY: Lovilia Press May 12 1927
Catherine Cooper Bell was born in Putnam county, Indiana, April 19 1833 and died at the Frank Bishop home, southwest of Lovilia, Wednesday morning, May 4 1927, age 94 years and 15 days.
She moved with her parents to Illinois State and lived in that state until 1841, when they moved to Iowa, living near Burlington for four years, then coming to Monroe County, where she had since made her home.
In 1853 she united in marriage to John Bell and to this union was born 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy, all having preceded her in death but one daughter, Mrs Frank Bishop, with whom she made her home for some time.
Funeral services was held at the late home, thursday, May 5, conducted by Rev J Wesley Petersen of the Lovilia U.B. Church and burial was made in the Richmond Cemetery.
