Malvina Effie Lodge Chisolm was born the youngest daughter of Francis Lodge Esq. Malvina married Octavus Chishom Esq. of Charleston, SC in St Nicholas Church Galway in September of 1836. The announcement was made in the paper 9/17/1836. Malvina immigrated to the US to begin married life in Charleston, SC. According to ship records she was 16 years old. Malvina and Octavus’ children were Providence, Octavus (Jr), Christina, Elias H, Alexander H, John B, Harriet and Ruth. (Alexander does not have a find a grave memorial (02/10/1849 – 12/27/1938). Malvina,Octavus and their children left Charleston in the late 1850’s and relocated to New Orleans. The 1861 City Directory listed them both. “Chisolm Octave, agent "Picayune Mill," Poyfarre, d. Melpomene n. St. Charles” “ Chisolm O. Mrs. Teacher of piano and singing, Melpomene n St. Charles”. Malvina passed away on Nov 5, 1867 of yellow fever.
