Our beautiful and loving mother, Dorothy (Harding) Haner, 87 of Lineville, IA passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at her daughter’s home in West Des Moines, IA.
She was born May 23, 1929 in Woodburn, IA the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Mellor) Harding.
On May 31, 1947 she married J. Claton Haner. They were blessed with three daughters.
Dorothy spent most of her childhood in Des Moines before her family moved to Lineville. She graduated from Lineville High School in 1947. She will always be remembered to many as a caring, unselfish and talented Mother and friend. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Claton Haner, on March 29, 1999; parents, Joe and Anna Harding; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her three children, Linda (Steve) Sims, West Des Moines, IA, Jeane Haner, Shenandoah, IA, and Jennifer Gilstrap, Las Vegas, NV; brother, Chuck (Barbara) Harding, Georgia; nephews, Marcus (Joyce) Rockhold, Lanny (Judy) Rockhold, and Curt (Linda) Rockhold, along with several other nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9 at the Mercer Baptist Church, Mercer, MO. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville, IA.
