Funeral services for A.C. Adams were held at the family residence at 715 Walnut Street at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. F.P. Anderson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. The burial followed at Forrest Cemetery.
Score of people turned out to pay their last respects to ne of the best loved and most respected men of the city and they were from every walk of life. Apparently they were deeply grieved over the loss of a friend and counselor for there were very few dry eyes during the services at the home and at the grave.
Mr. Adams was 67 years old. He was born at Jacksonville, August 20, 1858, and moved to Gadsden in 1880. ........(more about his character)
