Willa Imogene Sloan, 83, of Clendenin died July 4, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.
She was the daughter of the late Willie Abbott and Edith Ashley Abbott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Melton Sloan.
She was a retired employee of Kanawha County Schools and she also worked at Sandy Brae Golf Course.
She is survived by: daughters, Diana Swiger of Speed and Martha Stover of Hedgesville, WV; sons, Gary Sloan of Clio, WV, Dwight Ivan Sloan of Dennison, OH, Steven Sloan of Clio, WV and Vincent Sloan of Hedgesville, WV; sisters, Irene Brisendine of Clio, WV and Pauline Parker of Clio, WV; several grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday July 8, 2016 at Thorofare Community Church Clendenin, WV with Pastor Richard Webb officiating. Burial will be in Payne Cemetery Clendenin. Visitation will be one hour prior at the Church. Online condolences may be expressed at maticsfuneralhome.com.
