Jane (McClure) Cole, of Hingham, age 94, passed away on January 31, 2012 at the Harbor House Nursing Home. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Jane attended Wellsley College and then went on to the Boston University College of Music where she met her late husband, Edward P. Cole. They both shared a love of music and sang in many choirs together. In later years Jane was a secretary at Plainfield (N.J.) High School. In the early 1980's she and Edward moved to Carver and ,she, eventually to Hingham. She was an avid reader and loved her family dearly. Jane was the devoted mother of Pam DeLorenzo and her husband Jack of Cohasset, Ned Cole and his wife Marcia of Natick and Nanci Young and her husband Vance of Bowie, Maryland. She was the wonderful grandmother to Jessica, Allison, Max, Sam, Meredith, Briana and Edward and great grandmother to Ayla and Emma. Jane is also survived by a niece and several nephews. A memorial service to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church, Highland Ave., Cohasset.
