Doris E. Kennedy was born on October 21, 1931 in Winnfield, LA. The Lord called her home on Sunday, July 3, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Eula Smith and son, Nathan "Butch" Kennedy. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, AJ Kennedy, her daughter Pat Piefer and husband Jeff, and her daughter Sharon Haag and husband Justin. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Doris was a true example of what a good wife, mother, friend and Christian woman should be. Never a "stranger" entered her home without being welcomed as family.

A Celebration of Life service will be officiated by Bro. Kevin Arinder and Bro. Joe Brown at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10 AM. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers for the service are Mike Koster, Church Piefer, Blake Berry, Dakota Howell, B.J. Kennedy and Cory Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Landon Craig and Dylon Malone.
