IN HANCOCK COUNTY WHEN SUMMONED BY DEATH.
William Beamer, Aged Citizen of Arcadia, Succumbs to Disease at an Early Hour Thursday Morning.
--William Beamer, an aged and prominent citizen of Arcadia, passed away at 4 o'clock Thursday morning, aged 74 years, his death being caused by a complication of diseases. The funeral will be held Sunday forenoon at ten o'clock, from the Lutheran church, at Arcadia, and will be under the auspices of the Odd Fellow lodge of that village, of which he was a long-time member, being one of the oldest members of the order in Hancock county. His body will be laid to rest in the village cemetery. His death occurred at the home of his son, Curtis Beamer. Rev. W. H. Singley will officiate at his funeral. --Mr. Beamer was born in Tuscarawas county, and came to Hancock county, when ten years old, and was married February 23, 1860, to Mercy Smart, [[[Curtis's obituary, latter, states Marcy Beamer..]]] and to their marriage was born six children, two of whom are living. They are Curtis Beamer and Mrs. John Barnes, both of Arcadia. A brother and sister also survive, George Beamer, of Indiana, and Mrs. James Moore, of Arcadia. --Mr. Beamer was popular with his fellow citizens, and everybody held him in highest regard. He was a good citizen, and did much to build up the community in which he lived so many years.
