Jacqueline M. Carle, 85, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on July 1, 2016 at Solaris Healthcare Parkway, Stuart, FL.

Born in Athens, GA, she had been a resident of St. Lucie County for 31 years, coming from Rockville, MD.

She was a homemaker, and she and her late husband Michael also volunteered at numerous venues.

They worked tirelessly supporting Port St. Lucie High School ever since its inception in 1989, spent countless hours supporting the Sailfish District Boy Scouts, and were active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Stuart, where she taught Sunday School for many years and volunteered in the church thrift store.

Survivors include her daughter Dot Galfond and her son-in-law Mark Galfond of Palm City, FL, her son Michael M. Carle of Ferriday, LA, four grandchildren; Benjamin Galfond, Nicholas Galfond, Glenn M. Seymour, and Melanie Seymour, and one great grandchild, Mya Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Michael T. Carle, in 2015 and by her daughter, Dayna Seymour in 2009.

There will be a memorial service at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, to be held at a date yet to be determined.
