CLEARFIELD –Kathy Marie Maxwell, our beautiful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy was born on March 5, 1963 in Ogden, Utah, to William James (Jim) and Lola Delcomte Maxwell. Throughout her years, she triumphed over many life challenges. She went through life with a smile on her face and a happy heart. She was a friend to everyone she encountered and enjoyed teasing others. She loved to be read to and Harry Potter books were her favorite.

Kathy was a member of the Clearfield 9th Ward of the LDS church. She graduated from Utah School for the Blind and worked for Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center (PARC).

Kathy is survived by her parents; brothers: David (Nancy) Maxwell and Terry Maxwell; and sisters: Teresa (Jim) Thompson and Susan (Barry) Gunning. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and nephew, John David Maxwell.

The family would like to give a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of Rocky Mountain Care Center. Their dedication and professionalism made Kathy’s last days comfortable. We would also like to give huge thank you to Carina LaFontaine for her loving care of her Aunt Kathy for the last few years.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 at the mortuary.
