Mr. Charles Lamont Lindsey, died at his home in Caldwell, Arkansas on July 3, 2016.

Mr. Lindsey was born in Caldwell on January 16, 1930, to Baxter Lamont Lindsey and Mable Harris Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leila Faye Riggs.

He attended Arkansas State University, and he was an Air Force Veteran. He farmed for over 40 years in Caldwell.

Mr. Lindsey was a member of Caldwell Baptist Church. Mr. Lindsey had numerous hobbies throughout his life. He loved hunting and was an avid muzzleloader competitor. He participated in and won many competitive shooting matches in Friendship, Indiana and Berryville, AR among other locations.

Mr. Lindsey is survived by his sister in law, Mary Jo Lindsey of Caldwell. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Louis Lindsey Jr. and Rosanne of Austin, Tx; June Hightower and Eddie of Madison, MS; Polly Crenshaw and Richard of Tupelo, MS; Anna Kay Gibbs of Athens, Al; Mont Gullick of Huntsville, AL; Renee Ladd of Phoenix, AZ; Tim Riggs of Albuquerque, NM; David Riggs of St. Paul, MN; and Joel Riggs of Portland, OR.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Catherine Gullick and his brother, Billy Lindsey.

He also leaves many other family members and friends, including Mary Owens, a very special friend for several years. Special thanks is given to Irene Womack for all of her special care through the years.

Visitation will be at Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30, and a graveside service will be held at Lindsey Cemetery at 11:00. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net.
