Mr. Manuel B. Benavidez, 66, a resident of Galisteo, NM and former resident of the Gonzales Ranch and of Albuquerque passed away on February 21, 2001.
Mr. Benavidez is survived by his fiancé, Petrita Baca; two daughters, Sadie Sandoval and husband, Frank and Mary Ann Salas and husband, David; three sons, Fred Benavidez and wife, Helen, David Benavidez and wife, Tina and Lawrence Benavidez and wife, Stella; three sisters, Ramona Ortega, Elvira Benavidez and Petra Sena and husband, Cecilio; two brothers, Ricardo Benavidez and Juan de Dios Benavidez and wife, Isabel; 13 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Benavidez was a member of the Catholic Church.
A visitation will be Saturday evening in the St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Tibo Chavez.
A second night Rosary will be recited on Sunday in the San Miguel del Vado Catholic Church in Ribera, NM at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the San Isidro / Santa Teresita Catholic Mission in Gonzales, NM.
Interment will follow at the Gonzales Ranch in Gonzales, NM. Pallbearers will be Ramon Benavidez, Tommy Gonzales, Paul Benavidez, Bobby Gonzales, Gabriel Gonzales and Luis Benavidez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tomas Benavidez, Louie Gonzales , Kenneth Gonzales, Esperdion Benavidez, Robert Benavidez and Robert Gonzales Jr.
