Mary Elizabeth “Moo” (Mayo) Boggs, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Galion Pointe Nursing Home. Born to the late Roy and Verna (Montgomery) Mayo on May 13, 1932, in Grayson, Kentucky.

Married to the love of her life for over 60 years, Lovell “Glen” Boggs. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2012. They lived and raised their family on a farm outside of Shenandoah.

Mary always had a smile on her face and loved to sing to The Lord, even during adverse times. She always believed “To act justly, to love mercy and to walk with your God.” Micah 6:8.

Mary was a member of the Shenandoah Christian Church for over 40 years and served in various ways there. She also taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by her four children, Roy (Sharon) Boggs of Shenandoah, Sheila (Al) Bechtel of Bellville, Edna “Susie” Beckwith of Mansfield and Rod (Amy) Boggs of Minford, Ohio; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brothers, William (Betty) Mayo of Florida, Rev. Joe (Ruth) Mayo of Alabama and Jimmy (Carol) Mayo of Alabama; sisters, Susie Weems of Alabama and Gail Damron of Kentucky; and sisters-in-law, Mary Lois Mayo and Helen Mayo both of Alabama.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Briahna Beckwith; brothers, Rev. Elihue (Alma) Mayo of Alabama, Harold (Freda) Mayo of Kentucky, Max Mayo and Elden Mayo of Alabama; and brother-in-laws, Steve Weems and Emrid Damron, Jr.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Steve Oswalt. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah Christian Church Children’s Ministry.
