Edwin "Pete" Englebert Peters, 93, Wausau, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Mount View Care Center, a caring and loving facility in Wausau.

From his birth on October 17, 1922 until his death on Thursday, he nourished people around him with love, faith, music and his story telling. He was born in the town of Cassel to Andrew and Elseda (Feiereisen) Peters. He married Theresa Dalsky on September 3, 1951 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2002. Edwin was a member of the Ministry of Praise at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau.

Survivors include, four children, Patrick Peters, Barb Wirkus, Ralph Peters and John Peters; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Theresa; daughter, Carolyn Schroeder; son, Steven Peters; and two granddaughters, Stephanie Wirkus and Diana Schroeder.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Monday, July 4, 2016 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Private burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
