Jerry was born January 26, 1941 in DeQueens, Arkansas to Asa and Mary Rooney Curry. He attended St. Agnes High School in Kansas City, KS and served in the US Navy for four years. Jerry married Floye “Flo” Larrick on March 17, 1961 in Coronado, CA. They lived in Kansas City, KS and moved to Edgerton 41 years ago. He was a bricklayer for 43 years for the Locals 18 and 15 in KC, KS. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and did scrollwork. Outdoor activities were a favorite pastime and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and gardening. Family was very important to him and he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his wife Flo of the home; children Jerri Lynn Curry of Waxahachie, TX, Cherri Lynn Barrett of Olathe, KS, Mark Patrick Curry of Waxahachie, TX; three grandchildren Kahli, Meredith and Mallory; and siblings Patricia “Patty” Ayers of Merriam, KS, James M. Curry of Shawnee, KS, and Sharon Collins of Edgerton, KS.
