Thomas was born in Richmond, Tasmania on 27 Sept 1847 - see the attached image of the Richmond birth records. At birth he was registered as Thomas Lilly Jones Pearson.


Thomas was descended from convicts to Australia, so it was good for them to move from Tasmania to Melbourne.


Thomas married Susan Heath


Thomas died on 6 March 1930. By that time his name was registered as Thomas Lilley Louis - different to his birth.
